If you’ve ever watched “Meet the Parents” or the TV Series “Alias”, you probably know a thing about how to read people. Watch where their eyes go, read their body language, listen to the tone of their voice ? it will all give you little clues to tell if they’re sincere, if they’re lying, if they’re interested in you or if they are just bored. Unfortunately, today’s dating scene in the Philippines comes with one secret weapon designed to break you down: TEXTING. A text message has no body language and no tone, it’s just flat words on a shiny screen on your cellphone. So how do you read a text without having a day long agony-fest over what it actually means? Here’s a quick guided for what she’s actually saying.
	Periods. Anytime she writes a period at the end of the text (when the otherwise general lack of words would suffice to show that the thought is over) she’s one of two things: demanding or pissed off, probably at you. If you’re getting a lot of them, it’s a safe conclusion that you are in trouble. Like this text message “Aalis ako.”
	Exclamation Point! This is a universal sign of excitement; it means she wants you to immediately picture her smiling and eager, like "Watch tayo movie maya!”. Generally a good thing, unless she’s cursing you.
	Question Mark? Obviously, questions needs appropriate punctuation; especially in texts were there is no tone. Frequent question marks ? especially when there isn’t really a question, like “Alis ba tayo later?” , means she’s building up some serious insecurities about your relationship.
	What’s Up? or Musta? If this is all the text says, it means she’s trying to “get-in” without being demanding. It’s a conversation starter that she hopes you’ll answer and ask her back the same question. She’s playing it cool but wants you to be thinking about her.
	Later or Text Text Na Lang. If she’s your buddy, “later or text text na lang” is totally standard. If she’s your leading lady then it is not good. "Phontography Tips And Tricks"

More and more people opt for a mobile handset that offers excellent imaging capabilities in addition to advanced connectivity and mobility. As a result phontography --- photography that utilizes mobile phones - is more popular than ever.

Technical Image Press Association (TIPA), the largest European photo and imaging press association, recognizes a new phenomenon: A new generation of photography enthusiasts now use their mobile phones to capture moving and still images. TIPA recently awarded the Nokia N82 as the "Best Mobile Imaging Device in Europe".

“The Nokia N82 is a compact multimedia computer that integrates GPS, web, video and music functions around a 5 Megapixel camera with a high-speed, f/2.8 autofocus lens,” the TIPA jurors said. “This Carl Zeiss Tessar focuses from 10cm to infinity and produces sharp prints up to and beyond A4 size. Several scene modes are also available to optimize the Nokia N82 for great images, whether shooting portraits or night shots,” TIPA continued. Other Nokia N82 features highlighted by the jurors are the Xenon flash and 20X digital zoom.

Here are a few suggestions by TIPA on how to take better pictures using a mobile phone: 

1. The most important thing about phontography is to have fun and be yourself. 

2. Find the shortcut to the camera function, so you can easily get trigger happy. 

3. Don’t miss the moment--taking phontographs is free! So snap away. 

4. Don’t just sit there. Move around your subject and take advantage of different light and angles. 

5. Use the props around you: tables, chairs, flowers. 

6. Go in close, always closer than you think. For example, if you’re taking a head shot, you should be no more than an arm-length away. 

7. Don’t be a skyscraper to children: kneel down or crouch so you’re on their level. 

8. Only get fussy about composition if you’ve got the time. It’s fair enough to take photos that are missing arms and legs. 

9. Things that are no longer considered ‘wrong’-- a bit of blur, a spot of red eye, an odd angle to the shot can look amazing when used the right way, as an effect.

10. You don’t always have to use the viewfinder -- hold the camera in front of you or above your head to take the shot. 

11. Explore the camera’s functions like the macro lens for closeups, or different effects like sepia tones or black and white. 

12. Remember ... small is beautiful. You can carry your handset with you all the time so your camera’s handy when you need it. 

13. Don’t worry about editing when you’re out and about. Sift through your photos later on. 

14. Use your imagination. There’s no film to waste and practice makes better photos. 

15. Taking pictures doesn’t cost anything. Always take several images and sort through them later.
